The Truth About 100% Compensation

By on July 24, 2013

Prior to 1 April 2013, personal injury lawyers working for injured parties on a no win, no fee basis  usually only made money from successful cases and were in fact paid nothing for cases that they lost. It is these ‘success fees’ which enables personal injury law firms to remain in business, and so such companies have obviously prided themselves on their success rate, which also allows them to remain in business. Following changes to the law that came into force on 1 April, these success fees will no longer be payable by the defendant on top of the money earned through a successful claim, but will now be paid from the money made by a successful claim. This means that around 25% of the compensation by many of those affected by personal injury will now be lost as explained in this infographic created by Express Solicitors.

Injury compensation has changed as of the 1st of April 2013. Find out more here.
